Foothill United Way Sets Up Shop in Nederland, CO.

Boulder Mountain Resources is excited to announce our new office hours in Nederland, Colorado!

More and more, our rural mountain communities west of Boulder are collaborating to bring health and human service resources to those living along the Peak-to-Peak corridor.  Foothills United Way is excited to permanently support local governmental and non-profit agencies as we all work to combat our biggest needs.

As a member of the Nederland Mayor’s Task Force on Housing and Human Services, we have spent the last year working on the following initiatives:

  •  Completed a  ‘Where to Get Help Guide’ listing local Peak-to-Peak resources.  In addition to keeping an updated version online, we have published and distributed 300 hard copies across the Peak to Peak.
  • A partnership with Boulder County whereby enrollment specialists will hold office hours on the last Thursday of ever month in the Nederland Community Center with the goal of closing the gap between those eligible but un-enrolled in basic needs benefits. For the biggest impact, we have coordinated these Thursdays with the Nederland Food Pantry hours.
  • A partnership with Via to submit a rural transportation grant to CDOT for a Peak to Peak public transportation route beginning October of 2013.
  • A recent partnership with Teens Inc. and The Peak-to-Peak Prevention Coalition work toward keeping our mountain school age kids off drugs.

The Nederland Mayor’s Task Force is a dynamic group of people who are passionate about increasing the quality of life for our mountain residents.  In addition to community leaders and volunteers, the members include representation from Boulder County, Nederland Area Seniors, Teens Inc., The Nederland Food Pantry, Via and other local non-profits.

Drop In. Stop By. Say Hello.

Boulder Mountain Resources will now be sharing the Nederland Area Seniors office in The Nederland Community Center on Fridays from 8am to 5pm.
